Due to our continued expansion we are looking for excellent candidates looking to work in a multidisciplinary team generating technologies and solving problems on the chemistry/biology interface.

As a key member of the team in an expanding biotech company, you will play an important role in developing the next generation of microbially-derived products. Your duties may include the quantitative & qualitative analysis of target compounds in microbial cultures and the purification of these compounds from larger scale experiments or carrying out synthetic biology techniques and small scale bacterial/fungal fermentations.

You should possess, or will soon receive, a relevant science degree, and have either a thorough understanding of analytical and organic chemistry or molecular/synthetic biology techniques. Practical experience of analytical and organic chemistry or molecular biology, microbiology and fermentation as part of those studies is essential, ideally with experience in another setting.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high aptitude for learning and assimilating new skills and concepts. The successful candidate(s) will possess excellent numeracy and IT skills. You will be capable of communicating your ideas and reporting your data and results with other scientists and will be an enthusiastic team member.
