We are delighted to announce that Dr Ursula Schell has joined Isomerase as Project Leader. She will join the project management team, where her main role will be in managing external projects for partners and forming a link between external collaborators and the Isomerase scientific team.

Ursula was previously a team leader at Johnson Matthey, where she had significant responsibility within the biocatalysis team.

Prior to this, she was a team leader at GlaxoSmithKline, where she had responsibility for microbial cell line development and platform optimisation.

Prior to GSK, she worked for Biotica Technology, where she gained significant experience with bioengineering of natural products, in particular polyketides and non-ribosomal peptides.

Dr Matthew Gregory, CEO of Isomerase said “Ursula is a great addition to the team at Isomerase, bringing significant experience not just in bioengineering, biocatalysis and process development but in working within project-driven environments and leading complex multidisciplinary teams”.

“I am pleased to join Isomerase at a very exciting time” said Ursula. “I look forward to working with the Isomerase team to support our customers’ discovery and development programs.”
